Mandy Kendall is a photographic artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Kendall works in a variety of photographic techniques, from historical processes to digital technologies.  She currently works in infrared, stereo, and experimental photography, with her primary focus on the remnants of lost relationships and our ever-evolving relationship with and impact on the landscape.

“Our sense of a place can evoke powerful emotions, stirring both beloved memories and deep-seated fears. It can connect us to others through an experience shared through decades, or even centuries. I use a combination of digital and analog processes to create a separation where the landscape feels both familiar and unrecognizable. Through my images, I hope to connect the viewer to others' experiences of a place or make them recognize or even question their own. â€œ

Kendall has over 20 years of photography experience and has worked as a studio, commercial, documentary, and fine art photographer, and as a photographic educator. She is a former photography instructor, who has taught students ages 8-80 throughout the Greater Pittsburgh region and beyond. Her favorite classes allowed her to teach her minions (AKA 8-17-year-old students) how to take over the world in her photography and STEAM classes at Pittsburgh Filmmakers Youth Media and Silver Eye Center for Photography. She was also the lead organizer for AgWorks Pittsburgh photographic artist collective.
